Bye 2006!...Err 2007?
Sunday, December 31, 2006
Half an hour to go before I bid farewell to 2006. Phunk is in 2007 already..(he'd 4gotten de daylight saving in perth!)

2006 had been an event-full year. For those who had been with me from the beginning till the end knows what I'd gone thru. Thanks Ms P & M.

First was the discovery of NiKi sickness. It really shocking, we fought on, but eventually we lost the battle. The lost of NiKi in mid year was very painful to my family and me. I still misses him much.

Second was the lost of a long love. A love that had gone down the history book. It's the end of a long journey. Not all was gone. I found a new journey with M. It's the beginning of wonders and discovery of each other. I still sincerely hope he will meet his fine match soon.

Third was getting a push from behind and jump "ship". A great push that happened. Luckily never drown. Now, I find more new things to learn. I still gonna work hard to find my path.

Btw, 2007.1.1 is my chinese burpday...oh no...add ONE again..no wonder I'm not prepared to leave 2006!!!! So no resolutions made yet!!!

*Happy New 2007 Year*

LWD!!! - don't understand? It's the LAST WORK DAY of the YEAR!!! I always like DECEMBER. Becos,
  • it's my birthday month.
  • it's the most relaxing month at work.
  • it's the time I go on holiday.
However this Dec, things are abit different as I don't get to go on holiday!!! Work is still work! But, I had been busy shopping for pressies, attending family dinners, sales shopping, catching up with long distances friends, doing some sports again, and trying to catch movies (only 1 this month!!!!?!?!). Hectic!

At this time of the year, I should start reflecting on the past year and making resolution for the new year to come. But but but but...I'm kinda not ready for the new year! How!? Can someone stop the clock!?

PS: Blog layout had been upgraded. All thanks to the great effort of greenythephunk whois havingabreakfromwork! *jealous*
Who's that?

Was this niki? Spotted it yesterday on the kitchen's wall after midnight. Had Niki came to visit me on my burpday?

It had a slide chipped off the right wing. I can't relate that to anything. But I was often told, a moth represent a spirit. So whenever we see a moth at home, we'll say "ah gong" or "ah ma" or "ah mah" is here. Tis time round, I think, must be niki is back!!! Niki had a sore reddish joint on one of his hind legs tt time (due to much of his "fainting"). And it's exactly 5 months he had been away from us!!! So is it him? *shrug*

It was a perfect weather with minor rain *thumbs up*. Thou I did think that no tears will be fallen this year, I did tear abit. The thot of niki no more, the bad memories about passing that bugis road sent my heart racing. Anyway I had a great morning with flowers delivered when I was still in sleepy state and also a great yummy bdae dinner. I'm looking forward for next SAT dinner. *clap clap clap*

猪,祝我生日快乐
Friday, December 22, 2006
Yippee! At last, ms p & I had sung our lung out loud for 2 hrs! We were out to celebrate my early bdae. Ms P surprised me with a song "猪你生日快乐". My eyes were popping out as the cartoon MTV is rather cute. On Monday, I sms-ed MS P the list of DO-NOT buy gift for me. One of it is "Do not buy me perfume cos I have too many already!" But yet, she 4gotten wat is the "DO-NOT" list. This year I received yet again P E R F U M E. Er.. MS P, are u saying I'm VERY smelly?! Consecutive years buy me "Smell water".... She claimed it's something she likes very much that's why she buy for me. Almost fainted at that statement. I thot you buy gift for pple with the person in mind, not yourself!!! Before singing, we went dinner at Thai Xpress. Whilst in the midst of eating my dinner, I noticed the image of a familiar face on the mirror. It was someone who I know and chatted b4!!! I let out small grin and I kinda stop all my talking with ms P. It just a weird feeling. I pondered did he rem me.

Tomorrow, or shd be later, is "Winter Day". Gonna be a family reunion cum family celebrating my day.
Rain x 3
Wednesday, December 20, 2006
It has been RAINING SINCE Monday! OMIGOSH! Especially Monday evening, I was half-drenched despite having an umbrella. The after-effects of it is a cold the next day. I can feel my nose and throat becoming ONE. *eeks* It's Ben Bdae today! Had a celebration of his 5th bdae on Sat. He is a cute little boy despite promoted to big brother. I still call him "Didi"...Ops...!!! He was funny when he was talking to his friend.

Ben: "You know why ur cake so small?"
(Friend was busy eating.)
Ben: "You know why??"
(Friend still busy eating).
Ben: "It is becos my mummy buy the cake too small!!!"

I let out a big laugh in my heart. If I translated his words in adult term, that would be his mummy is GIAM!!! His mummy bought a cheese cake (Ben's fav I think) which comes in one standard size as shown. Ayo.. *shake head* Of cos, I sent those words to his mummy's ears. =p
Flat No More, Name No More
Wednesday, December 13, 2006
Bro came over and seen the new place layout - and he commented it seems good. I took my chance to take pictures of the new area. Then took a shot of a poster of my current place. Now, I started to think about the people around me - their flats that I went - are all going to be acquired!!! My granny place@Holland, Pal's Old place & Feli's place@Dover, now my place@GM - are all going to be gone in 5 years from now. These places had all the memories I had as a child till teens. The only place that is going to stay for long - would be my first home!!!

Today is my 2nd month at my new co. Yet, it seems that I had stayed longer than the fact with so much happenings. In all my years of work, no1 called my name wrongly - only for minor typos - and my name at most 2 versions, usually English or Chinese name - rarely. But, in 2 months, I seen my name quoted wrongly on mails. Firstly, was TING TING - don't ask me WHY!!! Then, I signed off with my english name, but people replied me quoting my chinese name *raise eyebrow*. Had one mail that says "Hi CHAN" - apa lah, only my dad used his surname in work! Most unbeliveable would be recently, sm1 in a mail quoted my surname wrongly - and it refers to a director in my co.!!! Wa, they got the time to dig into the system to pinpoint who did the update and preparing to choke the person. Yet, they didn't have the care to quote the person's name correctly. Mann, it gives me a feeling of no respect for the person. Yesterday, an asst mgr was writing our names down when we attended firedrill. He looked at Min and Me, scribbled onto his paper and walked pass me. I turned my back to look at the list and stunned. My name aren't there - but another gal name instead. So I asked him, "where's my name?". He pointed at the gal's name. I said - "I'm not her!". He pointed to the next name, Min's. Eye big big. I'm not MIN! Do you know who am I!?! (almost fainted!). Sigh!!!! Lastly and sadly, my boss's boss was introducing me to a visitor as one of the DA JIANG of my boss. He never followed on with WHO I AM. I'm no BIG SAUCE - Haiz, identity crisis!!!!

PS: I always prefer my Chinese name used by my family or close ones. It just sound so odd for a co-worker to call me that. And I'm just a SMALL SAUCE@ work and maybe can do some side kicking with Min of those dumb arses who speak loud-loud, but arm fold-fold.

Finally, the news had arrived. We can stop guessing what going on...and move on from here. So now is time for the family to sit down and think about it. No matter what, within these 5 years, we going to move out of our nest which had served us for 20 years. I'm going to snap snap snap here as much as possible...Was telling a funny joke in the car with my colleagues - I have to "retrain" my niki to recognise the place so he can follow me. Then told them, I will get a dog next year. HK turned and look at me - that's not too far away. Next month will be next year. I mentioned, probably get one that shares same birth date - then I can blow candles with my dog. How nice will that be! Min said that I can start to "pre-order"! Wahhaaa. missed my niki. Ouch...all those memories start to flow through. Remembered niki didn't get to enjoy a cake this year becos of diet. I rem tt time he was so carefree b4 he started all those medication. Those were the times....

Here's Niki enjoying the cake I got for him for his 1st year with us
DEVILISH ME!

You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

#Program Name: My Mad Monday
begin
- woke up early with no lights and doing work then went back to sleep for the next 30minutes
Result: Need to get out of house soonest - so do everything just to be ready for work.
- maybe can still catch the train but then realised I'd FORGETTEN my handphone
Result: 7 minutes to fetch my hp, so took a cab to work and stupid cabby was fierce and attitude.
- happily getting my table clean on a Monday morning ready for the week
Result: Little did I realised my co-colleague is on sick leave and my mad day begins on a loop

while at work

hunger; (Never had my breakfast and lunch so late till my stomach get out-of-sync.)
monitor processes; (2 change problems that were implemented last month - resulted in 1 rollback, 1 fixing)
on phone; (Had many phone calls till I lost count)
on email; (Some simple problems but yet need to solve till lost counts)
on anxiety; (Server hanging problem - no1 has any ideal what going on. So needed a reboot. Pity one of my colleague who was called back from time off to fix it - made me ponder why isn't the team lead technically sound?!?)
dehydrated; (On phone, that's why!!!)
high-tide; (Din't even had time to poo)

loop

- after a hectic workday, what had I earned and learnt?
Result: My head is still with me, expect many more such days will happened.
PS: At least problems are resolved. *phew* and 天是会捉弄人的. So, be nice & pray hard!!!

- Lastly, a funny mail from a developer

"...lately the something.bat having ups and downs....
....(blah blah blah)
... (ending) May the batch "GET WELL SOON"!!! "

Result: Me and Min laughed for the next 5 mins...and it reminded us about a mail sometime ago.. Sm1 had asked for something but no1 responded...so her mail was "Oh god, anyone there?!? GOD HELP!!!!" So, we called her that time and said, "Hi, you are speaking to GOD..." she replied "OH GOD!!!" *burst out laughter on her reaction*

Now, Off to my bed!!!
end

Happy Day!

Series of events leads to a life time decision - and choice is what one can do - if given. I enjoyed my day today - if not for last year. It's about time to reflect what had happened for this one year. Time to put on thinking cap.
Oh yea, congrats to my ah bang getting his FIRST JOB - very happy =p and all the best!

Finally got my iPoD Radio Remote - all thanks to M. And I gave him a lovely gift too. =V=

Yawn. More updates later. TIME FOR DREAMLAND!!!

Updates: The free food (bread, tuna, onion, eggplant) were nice. The antipasto was cheesy salmon.
